As announced by The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC), Jordan Alexander (Jr./Portland, Maine), Krysti Leach (Jr./Naples, Maine), and Stephanie Fitzgerald (Fr./Groveland, Massachusetts) have been honored with All-Conference accolades for their efforts over the 2011 women’s lacrosse season.

Starting at attack in each of the Fighting Scots’ games this season, Alexander earned Second Team honors after leading the offensive front with 47 goals and 20 assists (67 points) en route to a 10-6 regular season finish. Highlight performances included a seven-goal, two-assist effort against Husson, and a pair of five-goals games against University of New England and Mt. Saint Vincent.

A fellow Second Team honoree, Leach was instrumental in the defensive midfield for Gordon, grabbing 55 draw controls, 35 ground balls, and forcing 11 turnovers over the course of the regular season. Leach also pitched in on the offensive end with 16 goals and eight assists (24 points).

Fitzgerald nabbed an Honorable Mention nod after a banner year in the midfield, collecting a team-high of 70-draw controls from the center spot for the Scots. She also ranked fourth in team scoring with 26 goals and sevens assists (33 points) and was honored as the TCCC Rookie of the Week on April 12 following a six-goal, 14-draw control week.

After finishing the season at 8-3 in conference, the women earned the fifth seed in the TCCC Tournament and travel to face fourth-seeded Roger Williams University on Saturday, April 30 at 3:00p.m. in the opening round.
