As announced by The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC), Dan Utz (Sr./Rochester, New York), Stuart Knechtle (Sr./New Canaan, Ctonnecticut), Zac Blue (Sr./Monticello, Minnesota), and Wes Chittick (Jr./Glenside, Pennsylvania) have been honored with All-Conference accolades for their efforts over the 2011 men’s lacrosse season.

Utz, team cocaptain and four-year member of the Fighting Scots’ squad, was honored as the Co-Offensive Player of the Year and First Team member for his outstanding play on the attack for Gordon. With 43 goals and 14 assists (57 points) on the season, Utz ranked in the top 10 in several conference offensive categories and led the Scots in points, goals and assists.

Knechtle, a fellow cocaptain and four-year Scot, was also voted to the First Team for his help in anchoring the Scots’ defense this season. Leading his team with an astounding 144 ground balls (100 more than any other Scot), the distinction marks the fourth consecutive year he has earned All-TCCC honors.

Earning Honorable Mention nods were Blue and Chittick, who tied for second in scoring for the Scots with 22 goals and seven assists (29 points) apiece over the 15-game season.

After securing the third seed in the TCCC Tournament with an 11-10 win over New England College on April 26, the men hosted sixth-seeded Salve Regina University on Saturday, April 30, at 1:00 p.m. in the opening round.
